Friends of Retired Greyhounds is a 501c3 non-profit, all volunteer organization dedicated to: Cooperating with kennel operators and other adoption groups to place retired greyhounds in responsible, loving homes. Working with veterinarians to insure that dogs adopted from FOR greyhounds are vaccinated, and in general good health before placing them in homes and educating individuals and groups about greyhounds, their history, their lives as racing dogs, and our adoption program. more

Our Adoption Process
Every greyhound that comes to us for placement in a loving pet home is spayed/neutered; has current immunizations; teeth cleaned including any necessary tooth extractions. more

What do volunteers do?
Friends of Retired Greyhounds always needs volunteers to help in a variety of ways, including: event staff, procurement, adoption counseling, fundraising. more
