Welcome to Friends of Retired Greyhounds

At Friends of Retired Greyhounds, we’re dedicated to finding loving homes for retired racing greyhounds, lurchers, and other sight hounds. Based in the Denver, Colorado metro area, we tailor our efforts to connect these gentle, graceful dogs with families ready to give them the care and companionship they deserve.

Our mission goes beyond adoption—we work with local partners to ensure every hound gets a second chance at a happy, comfortable life.

Friends of Retired Greyhounds is a 501c3 non-profit, all volunteer organization in Colorado dedicated to working with kennel operators and other adoption groups to place retired greyhounds in responsible, loving homes. Our organization works with veterinarians to insure that dogs adopted from FORG Greyhounds are vaccinated, and in general good health before placing them in homes. In addition to this, we educate individual and groups about greyhounds, their history, their lives as racing dogs, and our adoption program
