Comments about Timber
Timber is a handsome mix 6-year-old black and white greyhound mix love bug who will melt your heart within minutes of meeting him as soon as he looks at you beneath those bushy wire-haired eyebrows. Timber loves short zoomies in the yard, long naps, getting hugs and kisses, and knocking things over with his very long tail. He had a tough start in life and recently had a large mass removed from his face (which was noncancerous thank goodness) and does have a little bit of dry skin. He has never met a person he hasn’t loved and he has no food or toy aggression. He has mastered stairs and hardwood floors and is learning to play with stuffy toys. He knows “down” and “come here”. He is good with bigger dogs but has not yet spent any significant time with small dogs or cats. Given his start in life, it will be really important to be cautious when introducing him to smaller animals, as they may not be some of his favorite things!!!!! He is not a chewer and can be trusted at home alone for limited amounts of time. He is working on potty training and has had only a few accidents. Timber has a tendency to be a door dasher and tries to slip out the door every time his foster mom and dad come or go. They are working with him on this and are seeing some improvement. His tail is always wagging and he will win you over in seconds with his sweet and affectionate personality. Timber is looking for a special family to give him his loving and forever home and he wants to let them know that they will be so rewarded because he has so much to offer!!! He would really like to be the top dog in a one-dog home and would do best in a mature home. If you think you are the perfect family home for Timber, go to FORG’s website at friendsofretiredgreyhounds.org and apply today for the opportunity and contact Cathy or Joe at FORG@LucianoFamily.net.
